The Popular Minority’s name emerged from my belief that a full range of inclusive storytelling across the spectrum of race, gender and sexuality has the power to make a positive impact for social justice issues. In past work, I pursued inclusive storytelling while assembling teams that reflect those stories. However, recent tragedies make it clear that I need to do better and more actively support long overdue reforms. There is so much more work to do to educate myself and my teams to fight systematic as well as personal biases and combat anti-Black racism. I will endeavor to set even higher standards for inclusivity and dialogue moving forward.

Experiencing the power of peaceful protest in Brooklyn this past week inspired me to further educate myself about the issues and how to support this essential cause. On my journey, I found resources for education that have been helpful to me and have shared them below. These include not only innovative causes but masterful storytelling, all with the power to evoke change.
